Biography

The Committee on Computer Planning was comprised of faculty and administrative staff and was formed in October 1982 to create a 3 - 5 year plan for computing and related technologies. Some of the topics the committee addressed were the mission and goals for computing on campus, administrative policy on the acquisition of micro and minicomputers, acquisition and replacement of computer hardware, microcomputer ownership requirements, microcomputer labs, and administrative and academic computing needs. The committee also developed policies for computer hardware and software use on campus and communicated these decisions to the campus.
