The letters, manuscripts, and business papers that make up the collection chronicle the last years of the writing career of Norman Douglas, discussing his business dealings, research, travels and thoughts on other authors. The collection consists of 102 items dating from 1921 to 1970. Materials Specific Details
Douglas says that the price of "that book" [Some Limericks] is five guineas. It is impossible for him to send a copy to England. He wonders if Clark knows the nature of the book, and will only send it to a French address when Clark has replied. If indeed Clark is referring to In the Beginning, there would be no difficulty at all in sending the book.
