The letters, manuscripts, and business papers that make up the collection chronicle the last years of the writing career of Norman Douglas, discussing his business dealings, research, travels and thoughts on other authors. The collection is made up of 6 series: Manuscripts, Correspondence to Albert Parsons Sachs, Correspondence to Others, Business Papers, Correspondence Concerning Norman Douglas, and Items about the Collection. The collection consists of 102 items dating from 1921 to 1970. It includes five manuscripts; ninety letters of Douglas; business papers; three letters about Douglas; and two letters about the collection.

Materials Specific Details
Douglas accepts Secker's monetary offer, but says that it is substantially less than what he has been getting. He tells Secker that there is no provision in their contract for the cheap edition of Fountains [in the Sand: Rambles Among the Oases of Tunisia] that Secker has brought out, and asks what Secker plans to do about it.
