The letters, manuscripts, and business papers that make up the collection chronicle the last years of the writing career of Norman Douglas, discussing his business dealings, research, travels and thoughts on other authors. The collection is made up of 6 series: Manuscripts, Correspondence to Albert Parsons Sachs, Correspondence to Others, Business Papers, Correspondence Concerning Norman Douglas, and Items about the Collection. The collection consists of 102 items dating from 1921 to 1970. Materials Specific Details
Douglas expects to return to Florence in two days. Upon his return, he will let Sachs know how he likes the "Coppard book." Douglas doubts that he will be able to find anything for Sachs to print. He has not been able to write anything for nearly a year, and even if he could, he says he is already "nailed down for another book."
