The letters, manuscripts, and business papers that make up the collection chronicle the last years of the writing career of Norman Douglas, discussing his business dealings, research, travels and thoughts on other authors. The collection is made up of 6 series: Manuscripts, Correspondence to Albert Parsons Sachs, Correspondence to Others, Business Papers, Correspondence Concerning Norman Douglas, and Items about the Collection. The collection consists of 102 items dating from 1921 to 1970. It includes five manuscripts; ninety letters of Douglas; business papers; three letters about Douglas; and two letters about the collection.

Douglas is sending another copy of the book [Some Limericks] to Sachs, explaining that he has not inscribed any of the copies because they are already packed when they reach Douglas. He refers to a possible pirated edition in America and endorses it, saying that he does not care to have an authorized edition in America. He proposes two new volumes of the same kind: twenty-one more "Lyrics" and thirty-one "Last Lyrics." He says that the price of his book [Some Limericks] is now doubled; there are very few copies left and the demand is increasing.
