The Gender and Sexuality Alliance is a student organization that seeks to expand the knowledge and awareness of diversity in the Bucknell community. The organization also aims to serve as a resource to those groups who are currently disenfranchised by working with all members of the student body, faculty and staff to establish a plan of action in the advancement of a more inclusive environment. To accomplish its goals, the organization collaborates with the Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Awareness, Women's Resource Center, Multicultural Student Services, and other supporting organizations in extending resources and hosts activities such as lectures, workshops, designated recognition days such as National Coming Out Day, and social gatherings stressing the importance of building relationships with a common goal to confront and solve issues of violence, discrimination and stereotypes against the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally community not only on a university level but globally as well.
