Content Description

Title on the binder: A History of the Bucknell Observatories: As Related by Prof. Lewis Dewart.

Consists of an oral interview with Bucknell Professor Lewis Dewart recordedon a cassette tape and includes exterior and interior photographs of the first observatory on the Bucknell University campus, its demolition, and the building of a new observatory. The photographs were donated by Professor Lewis Dewart to the Susquehanna Valley Amateur Astronomers Club in 1998. The oral interview on cassette tape has not been transcribed. The compliler of the project, Rebecca Keister, compiled the material in a photography album as an 8th grade enrichment project at the Middle School, Mifflinburg, with Marirose Southerton, teacher and Susquehanna Valley Amateur Astronmers Club member.
