Administrative History
A branch of the Young Women's Christian Association was formed at Bucknell University Female Institute in 1885. The organization was composed of the officers and students of the Institute and its purpose was to lead devotional meetings, and perform missionary and temperance work. With the establishment of the Bucknell University Christian Association, which included men and women students of the university, it was no longer necessary to have separate christian associations. The Young Women's Christian Association disbanded in 1934.
