Administrative History
In 1971, the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance replaced the Office of the Vice President for Business and Finance. John F. Zeller continued to serve as Vice President of Administration and Finance, a position that oversaw Alumni Affairs, the Bookstore, Comptroller, Development, Dining Services, Physical Plant, Public Relations, and the Treasurer. In addition to business and financial affairs, the position took on general council responsiblities and worked with major donations to the university. John Zeller was also assistant secretary to the Bucknell Board of Trustees from 1956 to 1988 and he served as a member of the President's Council and President's Staff. The title of the position changed again in 1982 to Vice President for Business and Fiscal Affairs. John F. Zeller continued in the various forms of the position until his retirement in 1986.
