Administrative History
In March 1973, the student group Association of Blacks for Progress changed its name to Black Students Alliance (BSA) and was active until approximately 1982. The group organized the Black Arts Festival and Kwanza celebrations. The organization advocated for an Admissions staff position to focus on issues related to the recruitment and admission of black students. The group was also involved in creating a manifesto with strategies for combating racism on campus.
