Scope and Contents
The records of the Office of Planned Giving are arranged alphabetically by folder title and range from 1981 to 2004. Included in the records are correspondence, brochures and records for the various planned giving programs, and agreements for gifts. The correspondence includes solicitation letters, as well as correspondence relating to significant planned giving donors.

Administrative History
The Office of Planned Giving was established at Bucknell University in 1982. The Office of Planned Giving worked with donors to establish long-term giving plans through a variety of programs. Such programs included Charitable Gift Annuities, Pooled Life Income Funds, unitrusts and bequests. From 1993-1996, it was combined with the Office of Major Gifts to form the Office of Planned and Major Gifts. The office was renamed the Office of Gift Planning in 2004.
