Administrative History
The National Society of Black Engineers is a student organization with a purpose to develop intensive programs for increasing Black and other ethnic minority participation in the field of engineering and engineering technology both within and outside the university community, and will serve to strengthen relations between professional industry and the black community. The Society at Bucknell University was formed on November 13, 1977. (Bucknell Engineer, Winter 1978, p. 20)
