Administrative History
The Minority Student Union is a student organization that was formed in approximately 1982 with the objective to foster growth of the minority population at Bucknell; encourage the incorporation of minority related courses in the curriculum; promote awareness of minority culture among its members, the minority community, and in the University; attempt to overcome communication barriers among minorities and stimulate mutual aid; and establish and maintain contact with minorities on other campuses. The organization hosted Kwanzaa and other cultural events such as dance performances and Black writers series.
