Scope and Contents
The records of the Office of Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender Awareness are arranged alphabetically by folder title and range from 2000 to 2013. The records include announcements, calendars, correspondence, events calendars, an office history, information related to an LGBT history at Bucknell project, National Coming Out Day support list, a newsletter entitled Rainbow Review, reports, and speeches as well as information from the Advisory Board including correspondence, minutes, and agendas. Correspondence includes information on events and programming.

Administrative History
The Office of Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual (LGB) Concerns was established in 1992 to provide support and services to lesbian, gay, and bisexual students. In 2000, the name changed to the Office of Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) Awareness to reflect recognition of transgender students and also a shift in focus from advising LGBT students to building campus awareness of the issues facing LGBT students. In fall 2015, the name changed again to Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans* and Queer (LGBT*Q) Resources. These offices have sponsored annual events including National Coming Out Day, National Freedom to Marry Day, Jeans Day, and Day of Silence.
