Jelani is a student hip-hop dance troupe and step team with a purpose to explore the history and culture of African Americans through song and dance and to bridge cultures, promote diversity, and increase awareness of the richness of African American culture. The organization gives members the opportunity to enhance and display their creative skills. The group's mission is to create and produce rhythmic movements through dance and step via performances and educational programming that embody the rhythms, history, and influence of Africa.
