Scope and Contents
The records of the Bucknell Alumni Association are arranged alphabetically by folder title and range from 1969 to 2009. The records include correspondence, Board of Directors materials, Alumni Fund materials, directories, publications, Association of Clubs materials and Commencement recordings. The Association of Clubs materials include announcements of events and photographs of local alumni clubs. The microfiche includes Board of Directors meeting minutes, alumni awards, local alumni club information and invitations.

Administrative History
The Bucknell Alumni Association was the alumni organization for Bucknell University from 1969-2009 and was the principal means through which the University maintained its contact with alumni. As stated in the 1969 constitution, the mission of the Bucknell University Alumni Association is “to organize and enlist its members to take those actions which are proper and necessary for the advancement of the University.” Membership was available to individuals who were at one time enrolled in a credit granting, academic program at Bucknell University, members of the faculty and administration and any individual who indicated a continuing interest in the Association and the University. In 2009 the Bucknell Alumni Association was renamed the Bucknell University Alumni Association (2010-present). The Bucknell Alumni Association was previously known as the Society of Alumni (1851-1876), Alumni Association of Bucknell (1876-1918) and the General Alumni Association (1919-1969).
